Shop Floor Login with PIN and QR Codes

Set up PIN and QR logins so your team can get into Wenmar Pro on the shop floor without shared passwords.

Contents

Wenmar Pro is built for the shop floor. Instead of sharing one password, each team member gets their own 6-digit PIN or a printed QR card to log in at a station. No shared passwords, no typing emails on a greasy keyboard.

💡 You’ll need

  • Owner or manager access to set up team members
  • A station login code (your shop’s 6-digit code, shown in Settings)

How Shop Floor Login Works

Your shop has a Station Login Code — a 6-digit number that’s the same for everyone at your shop. Team members go to your shop’s login page (or scan a QR code) and pick their name, then enter their PIN. Technicians and advisors who only use a PIN don’t even need an email address.

Setting Up a Team Member’s PIN

Step 1: Add the team member

Go to Settings → Team Members and click Add Team Member. Enter their name and a PIN (6 digits), then confirm it. Leave the email blank if they’ll only log in with a PIN or QR card.

Step 2: Share the station login

Give them your shop’s Station Login Code (found in Settings → Station Login Code). They open your shop’s login page, pick their name, and enter their PIN.

Setting Up a QR Card

A QR card lets a team member log in by scanning a code with their phone camera — no typing at all.

Step 1: Generate the QR card

In Settings → Team Members, open the team member and choose the QR Card action. Wenmar Pro shows a Personal QR Card with their name and a QR code.

Step 2: Print it

Click Print QR Card. Each card is valid for 90 days. If a card is lost, generate a new one — that makes the old card stop working.

Changing or Resetting a PIN

  • Change your own PIN — Go to My Profile → Change PIN, enter a new 6-digit PIN, and click Update PIN.
  • Manager resets a PIN — In Settings → Team Members, open the member and click Reset PIN. Wenmar Pro generates a new 6-digit code to share with them. It’s shown once, so share it right away.

If Someone Is Locked Out

After 5 wrong PIN attempts, an account is locked for safety. A manager unlocks it from the team member’s screen. If someone forgets their PIN, they should ask a manager to reset it.

Tips

  • PINs must be 6 digits and can’t be a simple sequence like 123456.
  • Keep QR cards secure — If one is lost, generate a new one right away to invalidate the old card.
  • Managers can still sign in with email — The shop floor screen has a “Manager? Sign in with email” link for full access.
