Reading the Financial Report

See your shop's revenue, tax collected, and payments by method for a chosen period — and export the numbers to a spreadsheet.

Contents

The Financial report brings together what your shop brought in over a chosen period: total revenue, the tax you collected, and the payments you received by method. Use it at month-end or before you hand numbers to your accountant.

💡 You’ll need

  • Owner or manager access to reports

Opening the Report

Go to Reports, then choose Financial under the Financial section. The report opens on the Revenue tab for the current month.

Choosing a Date Range

Use the Range filter to pick This week, This month (default), Last month, This quarter, or Custom. Choosing Custom opens start and end date fields.

The Three Tabs

Switch between Revenue, Tax, and Payments at the top.

  • Revenue — shows Total Revenue and Avg Repair Order, a By Category breakdown, and a Counter Sales section with Total Counter Sales, Count, and Avg Counter Sale, plus counter sales by Service Category and Service Writer.
  • Tax — shows Total Tax Collected, broken into Taxable and Exempt.
  • Payments — shows Total Collected and the number of Payments, broken down By Method (for example cash or card).

Exporting

Click Export in the header to download the current report as a spreadsheet (CSV) covering the date range you’ve selected — ready for bookkeeping.

Tips

  • Use this report for month-end — it’s a single view of revenue, tax, and what was actually collected.
  • Export for your accountant — the spreadsheet keeps your revenue and tax figures in one file.
  • Need what customers still owe? — for accrual-basis tax, aging, and outstanding balances, see Reading the Accounting Report.
