Wenmar Pro connects to DriveOn, the Ontario safety inspection system. When you complete a safety inspection in DriveOn, you forward the PDF to your Wenmar Pro address and the results — certificate number, expiry date, and pass/fail — are added to the vehicle’s record automatically.
💡 You’ll need
- A DriveOn portal account at driveonportal.com
- Owner or manager access to set up the connection
Setting Up DriveOn
Step 1: Open the DriveOn settings
Go to Settings → Integrations → DriveOn.
Step 2: Copy your forwarding address
Wenmar Pro gives your shop a special email address (like safety+your-shop@replies.wenmarpro.com). Click Copy to copy it.
Step 3: Enter your station number
Enter your Station Number — your MTO Vehicle Inspection Centre number, found on DriveOn inspection certificates. This routes inspections to the right location, which matters if you have more than one shop. Click Save.
Step 4: Set up forwarding
In your email (Gmail, Outlook, or another provider), set up a rule that forwards emails from driveonportal.com to your Wenmar Pro forwarding address. The DriveOn settings page has step-by-step instructions for Gmail and Outlook.
How It Works
- You complete a safety inspection in DriveOn.
- DriveOn emails the inspection report or certificate to your registered email.
- Your email rule forwards it to your Wenmar Pro address.
- Wenmar Pro reads the PDF and updates the vehicle’s record with the result and expiry date.
Where the Results Show Up
- Vehicle record — The vehicle’s Safety Inspection section shows the Annual Expires date, color-coded (green = valid, amber = expiring soon, red = expired).
- DriveOn settings — The Recent Activity table shows each inspection with the vehicle, result (PASS or FAIL), odometer, and when it was ingested.
- Service advisors — Advisors get a notification when an inspection comes in, so they can act on a failed inspection right away.
Troubleshooting
- Nothing shows up — Check that your email rule is forwarding from
driveonportal.comand that you used the full forwarding address (including the+your-shoppart). - Gmail verification — When you add the forwarding address in Gmail, Gmail sends a confirmation email. Wenmar Pro forwards it to your admins so you can click the confirmation link.
- A vehicle wasn’t matched — Wenmar Pro matches by VIN, then plate. If it can’t find the vehicle, it creates one (or a placeholder customer named “DriveOn Unassigned”).
