Using Wenmar Pro When the Internet Goes Down

Keep your shop running when your internet drops — use mobile data or a phone hotspot to stay connected.

Contents

Wenmar Pro runs in your browser, so it needs an internet connection to load and save data. When your shop’s internet goes down, you don’t have to stop — you can keep working over mobile data, either on your phone or by using your phone as a hotspot for the front desk.

💡 You’ll need

  • A phone with a mobile data plan
  • Your shop’s station login code (to sign in on a new device)

What Works Over Mobile Data

Everything works the same over mobile data as it does on your shop’s Wi-Fi — estimates, approvals, inspections, payments, messaging, the works. Wenmar Pro is a web app, so as long as you have a connection, you can use it.

Using Your Phone as a Hotspot

If the front desk computer loses internet, you can keep it running:

  1. On your phone, turn on Personal Hotspot (or “Mobile Hotspot” on Android).
  2. Connect the front desk computer to your phone’s hotspot.
  3. Continue using Wenmar Pro as normal.

Using Wenmar Pro on Your Phone

You can also work directly from your phone’s browser:

  1. Open your shop’s login page in your phone’s browser.
  2. Sign in with your PIN or QR card.
  3. Do your work — estimates, approvals, inspections, payments — right from your phone.

Installing Wenmar Pro on Your Phone

For a faster, app-like experience, you can install Wenmar Pro to your phone’s home screen from your browser. It works like an app and can send you notifications, but it still needs a connection to load.

  • iPhone — Open the login page in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
  • Android — Open the login page in Chrome, tap the menu, then Install app or Add to Home Screen.

Tips

  • Keep your station login code handy — You’ll need it to sign in on a new device.
  • Test your hotspot before you need it — Make sure your phone plan includes enough data for a day of shop work.
  • Save your work often — Wenmar Pro saves as you go, but a stable connection is still the safest way to work.
