The Technician Productivity report shows how each technician performed over a period: the hours they clocked, the hours you billed, their efficiency, labor revenue, and gross profit. Use it to spot who’s carrying their bays and where efficiency is slipping.
💡 You’ll need
- Owner or manager access to reports
Opening the Report
- Go to Reports, then choose Technicians under Team.
- Pick a Range — This week, This month, Last month, This quarter, or Custom (with Start/End dates).
- Narrow it to one person with the Tech filter, or leave it on All to see everyone.
Your choices apply to the report automatically.
Reading the Numbers
Four summary cards at the top: Team Efficiency, Team ELR (effective labor rate, in dollars per hour), Total Clocked, and Total Billed.
Below that, Period Comparison lines up this period against the previous one — Clocked Hours, Billed Hours, Efficiency, and Revenue.
The Per-Technician Breakdown table lists each technician with Jobs, Clocked, Billed, Efficiency, Labor Rev, ELR, Total Rev, and GP$ (gross profit dollars). The Team Total row at the bottom sums everyone up.
Exporting
Click Export in the header to download the filtered numbers as a spreadsheet (CSV).
Tips
- Efficiency is billed hours ÷ clocked hours. Above 100% means your tech billed more than they clocked in — a good sign.
- Compare Period vs. Per-Technician — use the period comparison to check the shop as a whole, then the table to see who’s driving it.
