Service Packages

Save time on common services with packages — pre-built bundles of parts, labor, and notes you reuse on estimates.

Contents

A service package is a pre-built bundle of parts, labor, and notes you reuse on estimates. Instead of building a brake service from scratch every time, you pick the package and it fills in the services, parts, labor, and pricing for you.

The Packages Page

Go to Packages in the main navigation. This lists every package with its category, summary, estimated total, and how many times it’s been Used.

Search packages by name. Filter by:

  • Category
  • Status — Active or Inactive
  • Checklist — whether the package has a checklist
  • Hours — Under 1 hr, 1–3 hrs, 3–5 hrs, or 5+ hrs

Only managers and admins can create or edit packages. Advisors use them.

Creating a Package

Click New Package.

  1. Name (required) — e.g. “Full Brake Service”
  2. Category — the service category it belongs to
  3. Estimated Hours — how long it should take (e.g. 1.07)
  4. Bill at fixed package price — toggle on to charge one flat price for this package. When set, services using it are billed at that price and the line-item breakdown is hidden from the customer. Enter the Package Price
  5. Description — optional
  6. Customer notes — notes prefilled on the service when the package is added
  7. Always show technician name + inspector license — forces the tech’s name and cert number to print on estimates and invoices for this package (useful for safety inspections)

After creating the package, add its line items (parts, labor, fees) and save.

Building a Package from an Existing Service

If you’ve built a service you’d like to reuse, you can save it as a package:

  1. Open the work order with the service you want to save
  2. From the service’s actions, choose Save as package
  3. Wenmar Pro fills in the name, category, description, and all line items automatically
  4. Review and save

The new package appears in your packages list ready to use.

Adding a Package to an Estimate

When building an estimate, add a service the same way you normally would — search for the package name and select it. Wenmar Pro auto-fills the service name, category, parts, and labor from the package.

See Sending Estimates and Adding Parts and Labor for the full workflow.

Managing Packages

  • Duplicate — make a copy to use as a starting point for a similar package. The copy is named “{name} (Copy)” and is created active.
  • Deactivate / Activate — turn a package off so it stops appearing when adding services (existing work is unaffected)
  • Bulk activate / deactivate — tick multiple packages and use the Activate / Deactivate buttons to change many at once
  • Delete — permanently remove a package

Troubleshooting

Can’t find a package when adding a service?

Check the Status filter on the Packages page — make sure the package is Active. Inactive packages don’t show up when adding services.

Who can create packages?

Only managers and admins can create, edit, or deactivate packages. Advisors can search and use them.

The customer sees a breakdown but I set a fixed price?

The Bill at fixed package price setting must be on for the package to hide the breakdown. Confirm the toggle is on and a Package Price is set.
